LPPM UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Launched Warung Terpadu in Kasihan, Bantul
Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta launched Warung Terpadu, located in Kasihan, Bantul Regency, 6/2/2021. Warung Terpadu is the assistance of LPPM UIN Suka, which has been operating for a while.
In his remarks, Trio Yonathan, Chairman of the Center for Community Service (PPM), among others, said that this integrated shop for the residents of Nyemengan Hamlet has been operating for several months. The opening of an integrated shop with the slogan "Integrated Stalls for the Independence of Citizens," started with the establishment of a post for handling the Covid-19 pandemic. At the beginning of the pandemic, many of the residents assisted by the LPPM UIN Sunan Kalijaga were sent home from where they worked. LPPM collects funds to support household needs of the assisted residents.
LPPM assists in the procurement of facilities. The work is carried out in mutual cooperation with the residents. Through this integrated shop system, integrated economic development can be carried out for the independence of the residents, by involving all local rural residents to be creative in producing merchandise, both in the form of garden products, processed food, handicrafts and others. Meanwhile, there is a role of guarding the shop and managing finances, with the coordinator of the RT head. Supported by mentoring from field supervisors and KKN students, it is hoped that the donors will continue to increase in number.
Meanwhile, what was carried out in mentoring included; train residents to do habits at home but can be productive, train residents to manage the source of funds so that they do not run out of consumption but continue to grow, train residents to be patient and patient.
Yanto, head of the Nyemengan Hamlet explained how some of the residents carry out waste conservation activities. Organic waste to make fertilizer, and non-organic waste to make handicrafts, such as; shopping bags, laundry, planterbags and others. Muhrisun added, the integrated stall program initiated by LPPM UIN Sunan Kalijaga could be used as a pilot program that could be developed more broadly in other integrated programs. Such a model can be developed elsewhere, and LPPM is ready to assist in the development of this program. (IO/Editor:Nurul)
