Vaccination for the Students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga “Healthier Students, Safer Study”
On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta collaborated with the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) successfully held a vaccination for students and people around the University. There were almost 3.000 people, including students, lecturers, administration staff, and people in the neighborhood, registered for the two days event held Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the Head of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Covid-19 TaskForce (Satgas COVID), Dr. Abdur Rozaki, M.Si. this was the third vaccination event at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The University held the first two events earlier this year. He added that the vaccination is essential for protecting the students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga from COVID19, even further in the light of the plan to hold the face-to-face class.
976 students, both national and international, got their first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine on Wednesday. After the jab, Prof. Dr. Phil. Al Makin, M.A., Rector of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, met with some international students. He hoped that the vaccination could support students to keep their health and further study better in a face-to-face class soon. (IO/Nurul)
