Let’s Have a Voluntourism in West Lombok!
West Lombok Regency is a beautiful tourist area that is similar to the island of Bali. There are at least 12 favorite tourist attractions in West Lombok.
Those are Senggigi Beach, Pulau Cinta and Gili Kendis, Spiritual Replication of Mount Rinjani in Narmada Park, Desert Point, and Bangko - Bangko, Gili Gede, Penimbung Waterfall, protected forest with a wealth of showers and springs, Panggang Beach with its lagoon and coral islands, Balogas Bay and diving facilities, Mekaki Beach, Nambung Beach with its waterfalls, Malimbu Hill with its beautiful orange trees and Sekotong with its broad hills, coral reefs, to dozens of small islands.
At the end of 2020, the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, the Regent of West Lombok, H. Fauzan Khalid, S. Ag. and Vice-Rector III (Student Affairs and Cooperation), Dr. Abdur Rozaki, M. Si. signed a cooperation document. It is an honored opportunity for UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta to conduct research and Community Service Program (KKN) in the West Lombok region.
Following up on this collaboration, the Head of West Lombok Regency Tourism Office, H. Saepul Akhkam, S.Ag., M. Hum., was present at the UIN Sunan Kalijaga University (25/3/2021) to motivate students to carry out community service activities. Vice-Rector III, Chairman of PPPM, and Head of PPM welcome the arrival of the stakeholders in the tourism sector. Saepul Akhkam was presenting the tourism potential of West Lombok and was also greeted enthusiastically by the students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga through a zoom meeting, guided by the moderator of the Head of PPM UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
