In a decisive move to advance its plan of establishing a Faculty of Medicine, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta conducted a strategic visit to the Yogyakarta Provincial Health Office on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Led by Vice Rector for General Affairs, Planning, and Finance, Dr. M. Sodik, M.Si., the delegation included prominent academic figures such as Dr. Jarot Wahyudi, MA, Prof. Dr. Imam Machali, M.Pd., and Mahyudin from the university's Public Relations Office. The group was welcomed by the Head of the Health Office, drg. Emma Rahmi Aryani, M.M., along with her team.
During the meeting, Eko Rahmadi, S.KM., M.P.H., Head of Health Resources, highlighted the importance of renewing the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and initiating a more concrete cooperation agreement to support the faculty's establishment.
Dr. M. Sodik expressed his appreciation for the positive response, stating, “This partnership lays a strong foundation for developing a medical faculty at UIN Sunan Kalijaga—one that not only upholds academic excellence but also instills strong Islamic values in future medical professionals.”
This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening the university’s commitment to community service and to preparing competent, ethical, and spiritually grounded health professionals.
