UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s PBAK 2025: A Joyful Inauguration of
Optimism and Friendship
Yogyakarta, August 20, 2025 –
The
inauguration of the 2025 Academic and Student Culture Introduction (PBAK) at
Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga was marked by warmth, excitement,
and a sense of new beginnings. Thousands of freshmen—fondly called Kalijaga
Muda—filled the campus, turning the event into more than just a ceremony. It
became a celebration of hope, optimism, and transformation.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr.
Abdur Rozaki, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation, urged students
to embrace the future with courage and conviction. “Do not look back, but face
the future. Your journey must be built with optimism and the belief that change
for the better is always possible,” he affirmed.
Dr. Rozaki further highlighted the
importance of active student life beyond academics. “The Student Center, with
all its facilities, should become your second home,” he encouraged. His message
also extended to senior students, calling on them to welcome newcomers with
inclusivity and friendship. “Embrace Kalijaga Muda as equals, with
extraordinary inclusiveness and camaraderie,” he urged.
The atmosphere grew even livelier
with performances from various student organizations (UKM), including the
Student Regiment (Menwa), the Islamic Preaching Corps (Kordiska), and the JCM
Cinematography Club. Each performance sparked applause, showcasing the
diversity of talent and passion that defines UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s campus life.
Closing with awards for academic
competitions and words of gratitude, PBAK 2025 left a lasting impression. The
inauguration was not merely an orientation, but a vibrant celebration of unity
and optimism—affirming UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s vision of fostering a safe,
inclusive, and inspiring academic ecosystem. (humassk)
