Through APC FISHUM, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Successfully Serves 4,669 Participants in the 2026 BIB Scholastic Aptitude Test

UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta continues to strengthen its contribution to improving human resource quality and broadening access to education through a range of strategic national programs, among them its role as a trusted partner of the Center for Religious Education and Religious Education Financing (PUSPENMA) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in administering the Scholastic Aptitude Test (TBS) for the Beasiswa Indonesia Bangkit (BIB) 2026 scholarship program.

Through the Applied Psychology Center (APC) of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FISHUM), UIN Sunan Kalijaga successfully served 4,669 participants from provinces across Indonesia in the test held on Sunday (28/6/2026). The implementation was supported by 104 supervisors and the UIN Sunan Kalijaga IT Team, who ensured that the selection process ran in an orderly, transparent, accountable, and standards-compliant manner, covering participant supervision, adherence to examination regulations, system and network readiness, participant access, and the handling of technical issues throughout the online test.

The Implementation Coordinator, Dr. Benny Herlina, M.Si., stated that UIN Sunan Kalijaga's involvement in the BIB administration represents a concrete form of the university's contribution to supporting the development of Indonesia's human resources.

"I see this mandate as an excellent opportunity for UIN Sunan Kalijaga to expand its role in advancing the intellectual life of the nation. The committee, comprising administrative staff and lecturers from various units, played an active part in the selection process for prospective BIB 2026 scholarship recipients, conducted jointly with PUSPENMA of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and LPDP," he said.

According to Benny, the successful conduct of the test did not come about instantly. Preparations were undertaken well in advance through a series of stages encompassing socialization, supervisor recruitment and selection, training on the use of the online Computer-Based Testing (CBT) system, and intensive support for participants.

"From the outset, we conducted socialization sessions for both supervisors and participants, including providing system trial runs so that all participants would be better prepared for the test. Some issues that arose were largely attributable to external factors on the participants' side, but all of them were addressed through intensive technical assistance and support services right up to the day of the test," he explained.

He added that the success of the 2026 BIB Scholastic Aptitude Test was the result of collaboration among multiple parties working professionally with a commitment to participant-centered service.

Meanwhile, the Director of APC FISHUM UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Lisnawati, M.Psi., explained that the renewed trust extended by PUSPENMA represents recognition of the quality of assessment services that the APC has developed over time.

"Being entrusted with this responsibility for the second time, we are certainly grateful. This trust drives us to continue contributing to the success of BIB — particularly at this Scholastic Aptitude Test selection stage. At the same time, we understand this mandate as a significant responsibility, as it is directly tied to the selection of prospective scholarship recipients and the effort to prepare Indonesia's finest generation," she said.

Lisnawati explained that PUSPENMA had conducted an initial assessment from the outset to determine whether APC FISHUM UIN Sunan Kalijaga possessed the requisite competencies. That trust was ultimately granted on the strength of the APC's extensive experience in both academic and psychological assessment across multiple levels, from local and regional to national.

This experience, she continued, is further reinforced by the APC's track record in a range of strategic assessments, including positional selections for echelon I, II, III, and IV positions within the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and various other government and non-government institutions.

"In terms of human resources, we have professionals with both national and regional experience. Public confidence in APC's services has also continued to grow, which is why we have been entrusted with handling various assessment services across government agencies and the wider community," she said.

She added that the APC's strength lies not only in the quality of its human resources, but also in the readiness of its facilities and infrastructure, which have been continuously developed since the Psychology Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga was established in 2006.

At present, she continued, the APC provides a range of services encompassing psychological assessment, counselling, training, research, and the development of psychological instruments, all formulated according to scientific standards and evaluated periodically to ensure they remain aligned with evolving needs.

The successful administration of the 2026 BIB Scholastic Aptitude Test further affirms that UIN Sunan Kalijaga, through the APC, is not only distinguished in academic development and research, but also possesses the institutional capacity to deliver technology-based assessment services that are professional, credible, and nationally standardized.

More than simply administering a Scholastic Aptitude Test, UIN Sunan Kalijaga's participation in the Beasiswa Indonesia Bangkit selection process represents a tangible contribution by a university to ensuring the emergence of Indonesia's finest generation through a selection system that is quality-assured, transparent, and trustworthy.

With its accumulated experience, competent human resources, and continuously strengthened digital ecosystem, UIN Sunan Kalijaga demonstrates its readiness to serve as a strategic government partner in supporting national human resource development programs. (humassk)
