Amid the
currents of globalization and higher education reform, UIN Sunan Kalijaga
Yogyakarta has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive, globally competitive
education with the launch of the Sunan Kalijaga Global Scholarship for the
2025/2026 academic year.
The program
offers partial funding for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students from
around the world to study at UIN Sunan Kalijaga . “This year, 2025, UIN Sunan Kalijaga continues to welcome its
foreign students with diverse backgrounds by providing scholarships across
academic levels and study programs, not only for religious studies but also
science and technology, and social humanities,” said Dr. Witriani, Head of the
International Office.
The application
process is portfolio-based and conducted entirely online. Applicants must be proficient
in English or Arabic, and will also receive Indonesian language support upon
arrival. “We aim to create an inclusive academic community with good facilities,
a welcoming and diverse cultural environment,” Dr. Witriani added.
Eligible
candidates must be non-Indonesian citizens and meet visa, health, and academic
document requirements. The selection process includes administrative screening
(June 21 – July 23), document review (July 25 – August 7), and final
announcement (August 8, 2025).
By launching
this scholarship, UIN Sunan Kalijaga offers more than just education—it offers
access, connection, and a platform for global youth to grow intellectually and
ethically in the heart of Indonesia’s Islamic academic tradition. (humassk)
