Yogyakarta, Tuesday (September 9,
2025) — The Faculty of Science and Technology at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic
University (UIN) Yogyakarta is making another bold statement on the global
academic stage with the upcoming 7th International Conference on Science and
Engineering (ICSE) 2025. Scheduled to be held fully online on December
3, 2025, ICSE has quickly become one of the most dynamic scientific forums
initiated from Indonesia to the world.
Carrying the theme “Addressing
Climate Change through Science and Engineering Approaches,” ICSE 2025
challenges researchers, academics, and practitioners worldwide to move beyond
diagnosing the climate crisis. This year’s conference calls for something far
greater: concrete, measurable, and actionable solutions.
“We cannot just stand by as the
planet burns. This is a collective call to action — every piece of research you
bring could become a stepping stone toward a cooler, more sustainable world,”
said UIN Rector Prof. Dr. Noorhaidi Hasan, in an interview about the
university’s flagship international event.
A
Global Stage for the Scientists of Tomorrow
ICSE 2025 is designed to be more
than just another academic meeting. It aims to be an inclusive and
transformative forum, offering participants the chance to:
- Present their latest research before a truly global
scientific community.
- Build networks with interdisciplinary experts from
Southeast Asia and beyond.
- Secure pathways to international publication in
respected journals — from Scopus Q2 and Q3, to Indonesia’s top-tier SINTA
2.
Three official journal partners will
provide publication opportunities for selected papers: the Journal of
Robotics and Control (JRC), indexed in Scopus Q2; SINERGI, indexed
in Scopus Q3; and Jurnal POSITRON, accredited by SINTA 2. These channels
ensure that high-quality research does not go unnoticed, but instead gains
recognition in the right academic arenas.
Open
to All: Presenters and Participants
Registration for ICSE 2025 is open
until November 21, 2025. The conference welcomes:
- Active presenters
— ready to showcase their papers and findings.
- Passive participants
— eager to learn, listen, and expand their academic horizons.
By going fully online, ICSE 2025
eliminates geographic and financial barriers, while maintaining the rigor and
prestige of a world-class academic experience.
Recognizing
Excellence
To celebrate quality contributions,
the organizing committee will present a Best Presenter Award — not just
as a badge of honor, but as encouragement for participants to deliver their
very best.
More
Than Just an Annual Event
ICSE 2025 is more than a conference.
It is UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s commitment to placing Indonesian scholars —
especially the younger generation — at the heart of global conversations on the
future of our planet.
“Don’t let your research sit idle in
a forgotten folder,” Prof. Noorhaidi urged. “Bring it to ICSE 2025. Who knows?
Your solution might be the one that inspires new policies or groundbreaking
technologies for the future.”
