The Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta: Innovative in Service, Receives National Accreditation Award 2023
The Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has been awarded as a National Reference Accreditation Library. The award was received by the Rector of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Phil Al Makin, M.A., at the National Coordination Meeting for Libraries in 2023, which was organized by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta Central Park, on Monday (6/3). The Head of the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Dr. Labibah Zain, MLIS, was also present at the event.
The National Accreditation Award for the 2023 Library Reference is a prestigious recognition of the library's efforts in providing top-quality services and will undoubtedly inspire the library to continue to innovate and improve in the future.
The Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has proven to be a library institution committed to improving quality services and collections. For your information, there are several categories of National Reference Accreditation Library award recipients, namely the School Library category won by the MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong Library, the College Library category won by the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, and the Special Library category won by three institutions, namely the Library of the Supreme Audit Agency; the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia; and the Ministry of PAN/RB of the Republic of Indonesia. Through this award, the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga becomes the only college library to receive a national reference accreditation award in Indonesia.
The award highlights UIN Sunan Kalijaga's commitment to developing a world-class library system that supports research, education, and intellectual growth in Indonesia. As a national library accreditation reference, the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has demonstrated its dedication to providing high-quality services that meet international standards.
Rector of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Phil Al Makin, M.A., expressed gratitude and appreciation for the award. "The Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is already at an international level. Not only in terms of its collections, facilities, or digitalization, but also in the creativity of its librarians. Under the leadership of Dr. Labibah Zain, MLIS, The Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has expanded to social media platforms such as Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube."
The rector added that the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is a professional and reliable institution that serves with dedication, carries out interesting programs such as the human library and book surgery with the rector. The library also continues to innovate and develop international networks. One of the inclusive programs of the library is the Difabel Corner service and the Human Collection Program, which aims to change the mindset of library visitors to be more moderate.
Once again, I congratulate and wish success to the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. I would like to extend my congratulations to the Head of the Library, Dr. Labibah, MLIS, as well as the entire team including Dra. Irhamny, Dra. Khusnul Khotimah, Drs. Mokh. Tantowi, Dra. Ida Nor'aini, Drs. Bambang Heru Nurwoto, Isrowiyanti, Wahyani, Suhardi, Puji Hartati, Sri Astuti, Harniyati, Sri Lestari, Sugeng Hariyanto, Muchti Nurhidaya, Ismiyatin, Rochyati, Sofwan, Etty Nurhayati, Nur Arifin, Triyono, Edi Prasetya, Miftakhul Yazid Fuadi, Minto, Hasan Latif, Anik Nur Azizah, Adilfiya Noor Fiqis, Asri Yuna Chasanawati, Heru Pasuko Rini, Pratiwi Pramitaningdyah, Muh Khabib, Prayuda Wirawan, and Widyastuti Kartini. Muhammad Syarif Bando, the Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, expressed his appreciation and recognition for the achievements made by the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
