UIN Sunan Kalijaga Rector Appoints 2025 Student Leaders to Foster Collaborative Excellence

The Rector of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Prof. Noorhaidi Hasan, officially inaugurated the leadership of the university’s student organizations for the 2025 term in a formal ceremony held at the Convention Hall, First Floor, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The event was attended by Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Collaboration (Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Kerja Sama), Dr. Abdur Rozaki, vice deans for student affairs, student activity unit (UKM) advisors, and other university officials.

The newly inducted leaders include the Chairperson of the University Student Senate (Ketua Senat Mahasiswa Universitas), the University Student Executive Board (Dewan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas), and numerous UKM board members. The appointments were based on Rector's Decree No. 20.1 of 2025, as read by Dr. Ali Sodiq, Head of the Bureau of General Administration and Finance (Kepala Biro Administrasi Umum dan Keuangan).

In his remarks, Dr. Abdur Rozaki extended his appreciation to the outgoing student organization leaders for their dedication and hard work. “We are grateful for the contributions you have made. To the newly appointed leaders, congratulations on your new responsibilities. Remember, leadership is an administrative task, but solid collaboration is the key to our shared success,” he emphasized.

Dr. Rozaki highlighted the importance of synergy between mastering knowledge and fostering healthy relationships as a strategic foundation for student development. “With collaboration and dedication, we can achieve accomplishments that not only elevate our campus but also create meaningful impacts across various sectors,” he added.


Prof. Noorhaidi Hasan delivered a profound message to the newly inaugurated leaders, urging them to internalize the oaths and integrity pledges they had taken.

“You are the future leaders of this nation, entrusted with the significant responsibility of contributing to Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045. The burden on your shoulders is immense—to position this nation alongside the world’s leading countries, especially in the fields of knowledge, science, and technology,” said Prof. Noorhaidi with optimism.

He further emphasized that organizational experience provides a valuable platform for developing leadership, managerial skills, and strong character.

“Foster creativity, dedication, and a spirit of collaboration. Let’s achieve remarkable accomplishments together, not only for UIN Sunan Kalijaga but also for global civilization,” he concluded.

The inauguration marked a strategic moment to reinforce UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s vision as a university that excels not only in the development of knowledge but also in nurturing future leaders capable of competing globally, built on a foundation of integrity and love for the nation
