UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has taken a significant step in expanding its
international partnerships by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with
Bursa Uludag University, Turkey. The signing ceremony took place on February 3,
2025, at the Bursa Uludag University Rectorate Building, witnessed by prominent
academic figures from various countries.
This collaboration aligns with the vision of UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Rector,
Prof. Dr. Noorhaidi Hasan, who emphasizes strengthening global academic
networks. The MoU is expected to open avenues for joint academic programs and
collaborative research benefiting both institutions.
Representing Bursa Uludag University, Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudin Yilmaz was
joined by Dr. Anas Annuamy from ISESCO, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic
Preaching from Libya, Prof. Dr. Abu Bakar Suer, former Libyan Ambassador
Muhammad Alghironi, IMLA Indonesia Chair Prof. Uril Bahruddin, Director of the
Foreign Language Institute Prof. Dr. Ismail Guler, Dean of the Faculty of
Theology Prof. Dr. Adem Apak, and Vice Dean Dr. Ahmed Ihsan Dundar.
UIN Sunan Kalijaga was represented by Prof. Dr. Tulus Musthofa, Lc., MA, Professor of Arabic Studies, who carried the MoU document pre-signed by the Rector. The event was also attended by seminar participants and other distinguished guests.
This strategic collaboration aims to foster academic innovation,
intercultural exchange, and research excellence, further cementing UIN Sunan
Kalijaga's reputation as a global player in higher education. (Humas)
