The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FISHUM) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga is reinforcing its commitment to international academic collaboration through the launch of the International Visiting Lecture (InViTe) Program 2025. This initiative is designed to enhance faculty competencies, foster global research partnerships, and position FISHUM as a key player in the international academic landscape.
Starting from 25th February to 15th March, 2025, InViTe 2025 will host several distinguished scholars from world-class universities, including:
• Prof. Dr. Merlyna Lim (Carleton University, Canada), Chair of Canadian Research Council in Social media and Digital technology.
• Nadia Sarah (University of Queensland, Australia).
• Prof. Les Redfern (Goshen College University, USA).
• Prof. Dr. Phil. Sabine Brombach (Senior Expert Service, Germany) – Specializing in academic writing and faculty mentoring.
• Mr. Rassmann (Senior Expert Service, Germany).
FISHUM
Dean Dr. Erika Setyanti Kusumaputri, S.Psi., M.Si., emphasized that InViTe 2025
is more than just an academic exchange; it is a strategic initiative to embed
FISHUM within the global intellectual ecosystem.
“This
program not only enhances our faculty’s teaching and research capabilities but
also establishes long-term collaborations with leading universities worldwide,”
she stated.
Through
interactive lectures, joint research initiatives, and faculty mentoring, InViTe
2025 will:
- Strengthen academic partnerships between
FISHUM and internationally renowned universities.
- Improve faculty competencies in teaching
methodologies, research collaborations, and scholarly publications.
- Support Sociology faculty members in academic
writing through the Senior Expert Service (SES) mentorship program.
As UIN
Sunan Kalijaga accelerates its internationalization agenda, InViTe 2025 plays a
crucial role in shaping a more dynamic and competitive academic environment.
The program is expected to leave a lasting impact by equipping faculty and
students with global perspectives, enhanced research skills, and access to a

With "Empowering
Knowledge, Expanding Horizons" as its guiding principle, InViTe 2025 is
set to strengthen UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s presence in the global academic sphere.
