Yogyakarta, October 23, 2025 — A total of 53 employees from Universitas
Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta have officially
been appointed as Government Employees with Work Agreements (ASN PPPK),
alongside 13,224 others across Indonesia. The national inauguration was
officiated by Minister of Religious Affairs, Prof. Nasaruddin Umar,
marking a new chapter of public service rooted in faith, integrity, and
compassion.
The Second-Phase Non-Optimization PPPK inauguration
was conducted in a hybrid format, connecting participants nationwide. At
UIN Sunan Kalijaga, employees gathered solemnly in the Convention Hall,
joining the ceremony virtually. Present at the event were Rector Prof.
Noorhaidi Hasan, university leaders, and senior officials,
including Dr.
Ali Sodiq, Dr. Muhammad Luthfi Hamid, and
faculty heads. Khoirul Anwar, S.Ag., M.A., Head of the Academic
Division, served as the spiritual officiant.
In his address, Minister Nasaruddin Umar
reminded the newly appointed employees that the appointment is not the end of
the journey but the beginning of meaningful service.
“This moment is the fruit of patience and
dedication. Be grateful by serving God, the nation, and humanity. Spread
happiness through kindness and love,” he said.
He emphasized that being a civil servant means
being
present for the people—serving not only with administrative
professionalism but with social empathy and moral sensitivity.
“Do not wait for people to come for service.
Reach out to them—serve with technology, efficiency, and above all, with your
heart,” he urged.
Meanwhile, Secretary-General of the
Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof. Kamaruddin Amin, described
the PPPK program as a strategic reform to formalize
long-serving non-ASN employees.
“PPPK reflects the government’s vision to
build a committed, competent, and moderate civil service that delivers smart
and compassionate public service,” he stated.
From 18,445 available formations, 13,289
candidates were declared successful, resulting in 13,224 official
appointments. As part of this milestone, the Ministry also
launched the “Kemenag Berbagi” (Ministry of Religious Affairs Sharing Program)—a
national initiative encouraging employees to distribute food packages to local
communities. The campaign gained massive public engagement on October 9–10,
2025, reflecting a spirit of solidarity and care.
For UIN Sunan Kalijaga, the appointment
of its 53 employees represents more than a bureaucratic formality—it is a moral commitment
to strengthen public service rooted in faith, knowledge, and humanity. Rector Prof. Noorhaidi
Hasan emphasized that the new civil servants will become a driving force
for a professional,
adaptive, and ethical bureaucracy, advancing the university’s
mission toward global excellence and social impact.
