UIN Sunan Kalijaga Records Highest Alumni Response Rate in Five Years

YOGYAKARTA — UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta recorded its highest alumni participation in five years in the Kalijaga Tracer Study 2025, with about 76 percent of targeted graduates responding, strengthening the university’s data-driven evaluation of graduate outcomes.

The report was formally presented on Wednesday (March 4, 2026) by the Center for Career Development and Tracer Study (CENDI) to Rector Prof. Noorhaidi Hasan at the Rectorate Office in the PAU Building.

CENDI Director Noor Saif Muhammad Musafi, Ph.D. said the tracer study serves as a strategic tool for assessing how effectively higher education responds to labor market and societal needs.

The report shows that alumni took an average of 8.8 months to secure employment after graduation, while 46 percent of employed graduates earn above the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

Overall, 69 percent of alumni were engaged in professional activities, including employment, entrepreneurship, or further study. Of that figure, 54 percent work as employees or professionals, while the remainder pursue business ventures or continue their education.

Rector Prof. Noorhaidi Hasan said the findings would serve as an important reference for shaping future academic policies and strengthening evidence-based decision-making within the university.
