UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is taking confident strides toward launching its Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, marking a key milestone in the university’s strategic development.
As part of this effort, a Workshop and Data Synchronization Forum for the faculty’s establishment proposal was held on Wednesday (June 11, 2025) at the PAU Meeting Room, involving university leaders, medical professionals, and academic support units.
Rector Prof. Noorhaidi Hasan praised the dedication of all involved, highlighting recent achievements as the result of strong collaboration across units.
“This is not just an institutional goal—it’s a commitment to society, to ensure equal access to quality healthcare,” he stated.
Prof. Sri Sumarni, who leads the establishment team, emphasized the rigorous process behind preparing academic documents in collaboration with professional doctors.
“We’re building a faculty that meets high academic and ethical standards,” she affirmed.
The forum also addressed complex aspects of the proposal, from infrastructure and curriculum to laboratory and staffing readiness.
With full support from stakeholders, UIN Sunan Kalijaga is confident the new Faculty of Medicine will become a transformative force, integrating scientific excellence with Islamic values.
