Strengthening the integration of information systems is one of the steps UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is taking to support the digital transformation of personnel administration within the Ministry of Religious Affairs. By interconnecting the Personnel Management Information System (SIMPEG) with the Web-Based Payroll Application (AGW), the management of personnel data and salary payment administration is expected to become more effective, accurate, and efficient.
The
effort was discussed at the SIMPEG and AGW Interconnection Monitoring session,
held in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the University Administration
Center (PAU) on Friday (10/16/2026). The session was attended by the Head of
the Bureau of General Administration and Finance (AUK), the Head of the Bureau
of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation (AAKK), division
heads, the finance team leader, the planning team leader, the personnel team
leader, and other related teams.
Dr.
H. Ahmad Hidayatullah, M.Pd., Head of the Bureau of Finance and State Property
(BMN) at the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, attended
as the resource person. He stressed the importance of responsive administrative
services, cross-unit coordination, and proactive resolution of problems to
support smooth service to employees and work units.
In
his view, managing financial administration needs to be supported by an
understanding of regulations as well as the ability to build coordination so
that various issues can be handled appropriately. In this way, the systems and
procedures in place not only support accountability but also drive improvements
in service quality.
Besides
discussing financial services, Ahmad Hidayatullah also highlighted the need to
evaluate how the remuneration system is applied at universities with Public
Service Agency (BLU) status. He said reward mechanisms should take
contributions and workloads into account proportionally, including for special
assignments that are not yet covered by the regular remuneration scheme.
During
the discussion session, the Head of the AUK Bureau at UIN Sunan Kalijaga
appreciated the presentation because it offered perspectives for administrators
at the university, faculty, and institute levels in dealing with financial
governance issues. He also raised the challenge of aligning expectations for
timely incentive payments with the disbursement mechanisms that apply in universities.
The
discussion also covered the challenges of managing personnel and financial
administration in universities, including the importance of data
synchronization and coordination among units to support smooth services.
Strengthening information systems needs to be accompanied by human resource
readiness and alignment of work processes so that implementation runs
optimally.
Through
this monitoring session, UIN Sunan Kalijaga strengthens coordination among
units in support of implementing the SIMPEG and AGW interconnection. This step
is expected to foster personnel administration governance that is increasingly
integrated, accountable, and responsive, while also supporting digital
transformation in state Islamic higher education institutions. (humassk)
